How much do Amazon influencers make? Earnings calculator

Amazon influencers earn a commission on what shoppers buy: up to 10% of the sale through their own links and storefront, depending on the product’s category, and usually less when shoppers buy from their content on Amazon. Amazon does not publish what influencers typically make, so your earnings come down to your sales and your categories. Enter yours below.

Key takeaways

  • You earn a share of each sale. Amazon pays a percentage of what shoppers spend on qualifying purchases, set by the product’s category, not a fee for followers or views.
  • Where the shopper clicked sets the rate. The same $100 of kitchen sales pays $4.50 through your links, $1.25 onsite and $2.25 through Creator Ads.
  • Home, furniture and pet products pay 3% either way. In most other categories onsite pays far less than your links: toys pay 3% through links and 0.5% onsite.
  • Brand deals come on top. Sellers can add a gifted product, a flat fee or a Creator Connections commission to what Amazon pays.

Amazon influencer commission rates by category

Amazon sets an influencer’s commission by the product’s category and by how the shopper reached it. Shoppers you send through your links and storefront earn Amazon’s standard rates, from 1% to 10%, apart from a few purchases that earn nothing. When Amazon shows your content on Amazon, the onsite rates of 0.5% to 4% apply, and Creator Ads pay up to 5%.

Links, onsite videos and Creator Ads pay different rates

Amazon pays influencers through three routes, each with its own rate table. The standard rate covers shoppers you send to Amazon yourself, the onsite rate covers shoppers who find your content on Amazon, and the Creator Ads rate covers shoppers who click Amazon’s own social ads made from your content.

RouteWhen it appliesRates
Links and storefrontA shopper clicks your affiliate link or opens your storefront from outside Amazon, then buys1% to 10%
OnsiteAmazon shows your idea lists, photos, videos or livestreams to shoppers on Amazon, and one who clicks or watches buys the product they feature0.5% to 4%
Creator AdsAmazon runs content from your storefront in its ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat or Reddit, and a shopper who clicks buysup to 5%

From Amazon's Associates help pages and its Creator Ads page, checked October 2026.

Onsite commission is narrower than it sounds. Amazon pays it only on the product your content features, in the same variant: the product your content links to, or, for a video, the product it shows once the shopper has watched for a minimum time Amazon sets. Content also has to be published in the Amazon store where it earns, and shoppers you send yourself keep earning the standard rate.

Creator Ads is open to every member of the Amazon Influencer Program in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. You opt in, choose which of your storefronts take part and can leave at any time; Amazon chooses which content it runs.

The gap between the routes depends on the category. Kitchen pays 4.5% through your links and 1.25% onsite. Home, furniture, home improvement, lawn and garden, and pet products pay 3% either way, and health and personal care is the only category in the table that pays more onsite, 1.25% against 1%. Creator Ads beats your own links on home and pet products (4% against 3%), grocery (2.5% against 1%) and health and personal care (2.25% against 1%).

What a month of Amazon influencer sales pays

Say your links and storefront sell $2,000 of kitchen products in a month, and shoppers buy another $1,000 of the products in your videos on Amazon. Amazon pays 4.5% on the first and 1.25% on the second.

SalesAmountRateCommission
Through your links and storefront$2,0004.5%$90.00
From your videos on Amazon, onsite$1,0001.25%$12.50
The month$3,000$102.50
A year at the same pace$36,000$1,230.00

A scenario, not a forecast: commission follows your actual qualifying sales, and Amazon can change its rates.

One sale makes the gap plain. A $30 kitchen gadget earns you $1.35 through your link and about 38 cents when a shopper buys it from your video on Amazon.

What the calculator leaves out

The calculator covers Amazon’s commission on Amazon.com products. Four things sit outside it.

  • Bounties. Amazon’s Associates program also pays fixed amounts when a shopper signs up for some programs, such as $3 for a Prime free trial. Onsite commission never includes them.
  • Seller payments. Sellers can send a gifted product, pay a flat fee or add a bonus of 10% or more through Amazon Creator Connections, on top of Amazon’s standard commission.
  • Other Amazon stores. These are Amazon.com rates. Amazon’s stores in other countries, such as Canada and the UK, run their own programs with their own rates.
  • Fine art. Standard commission on a fine art product is capped at $200, however high its price.

For sellers: what an influencer earns from your product

If you sell on Amazon, the calculator shows what an influencer already earns from your product before you offer anything: enter your product’s price as the sales figure to see one sale. A $30 kitchen product earns an influencer $1.35 a sale through their link. Your gifted product, flat fee or Creator Connections bonus sits on top of that, and our guide to what to offer Amazon influencers compares the three.

Questions about Amazon influencer earnings

How much do Amazon influencers make?

It depends on sales: Amazon pays a commission on each qualifying purchase, not a salary. Through your own links and storefront the rate runs up to 10% by category, so $1,000 of clothing sales in a month pays $40.

What is the Amazon influencer commission rate?

Up to 10% through your links and storefront, set by the product’s category. Most categories pay 3% to 4.5%. When Amazon shows your content on Amazon, onsite rates of 0.5% to 4% apply, and Creator Ads pay up to 5%.

Do Amazon influencers get paid for videos?

Not per video: Amazon pays when a shopper buys. When Amazon shows your video and a shopper who watched it buys the product it features, you earn onsite commission, 0.5% to 4% by category. Sellers can pay you for a video separately.

What is onsite commission on Amazon?

It is what Amazon pays when it shows your content on Amazon and a shopper buys. It covers the idea lists, photos, videos and livestreams Amazon shows shoppers as they search and browse, and applies only to the product the content features.

What are Amazon Creator Ads?

An Amazon program that runs content from your storefront in Amazon’s own social media ads. Amazon Influencer Program members opt in, and when a shopper clicks one of those ads and buys, they earn onsite commission at the Creator Ads rates, up to 5%.

Is the Amazon Influencer Program worth it?

It is worth it when you can drive steady sales, because it pays on purchases, not followers or views. At 3%, $500 of home sales a month pays $15 and $5,000 pays $150. Put your own figures into the calculator above.

Commission is one income. Brand deals can be another.
