While there is a plethora of financial channels that focus on how to get rich or how to invest after you already are rich, there are just not that many channels on how to get by on a shoestring while at the same time putting first things first when it comes to your relationship to God and family. My background. like yours, is a composition of many things, but in my specific case I do have some experiences (I have been a preacher for 3 decades, have run several small businesses, and have a master's degree in economics and finance) that might be helpful to others in things like building a budget that takes into consideration things such as our "tithes", our family's financial needs, and putting something aside for things such as "rainy day" accounts, retirement and saving for our dreams. But doing all that on a tight budget can be tricky unless it is approached in a purposeful and prayerful manner. This is the goal of this new channel.
